What was the highlight of Tip Top Hostel
The property is centrally located in Candelaria.
The property is centrally located in Candelaria. I also liked the breakfast because they have real eggs!
Miscommunication — I had specifically asked that my room be ready before check-in time. It seems that this was either given to someone else or, they failed to clean it on time. My room still had trash and wet towels from the previous guest. I was very much disappointed. Also, it would have been very helpful if it is stated that if you ask for a taxi transfer that one must pay CASH to the driver. It will not be added to your room charges.

for one night okay, would definitely not have stayed longer
location is good and it’s not crowded
the guy with the curls from the reception that showed me my room was weird and not very friendly, i did not feel welcome room in the basement smell and was super cold there was a lot of dog poop in the outside area in the basement the breakfast was two little pans with yam and coffe, eggs would have been additional costs i‘m glad i only had to spend one night there

The staff was very nice and I made myself at home but...
The staff was very nice and I made myself at home but honestly this is not a nice room and quite pricey for what you get.
Everything is creeky and rundown. The shower is semi-hot, pretty average for Colombia but the facilities are just uncomfortable. It's one of those old cellar key locks, half coming out of the door with a big gap under the door. The bed is hard and not a fabric mattress. Old cupboard, stained glass window that is not really airtight, curtains in front of bathroom instead of door... it just feels like not appropriate for the cold and rainy weather you get so often in Bogota. The hostel has a Japanese restaurant instead of a common room so to get through to your room or for checkin, you have to pass through there with your luggage. The food didn't excite me but hey, I have been to Japan. But the Restaurant does look very cool and colourful and the staff gives you as many blankets as you like against the cold And You can walk downtown from there easily during the day.

Location is good
Location is good
The room was basic and small, but the hot water did not work and the floors were cold as ice. Also the toilet system was making a lot of noise which was annoying. The staff didn't speak much english, but tried to help as much as they could. The place is clean and basic, but not worth the price at all in our opinion.
